Knock Sensor: Installing

CAUTION:

Tighten the knock sensor to the correct tightening specification. Over or under tightening effects the knock sensor performance, possibly causing improper spark control and damage to the sensor.

-- Install the knock sensor (2) to the engine.

-- Install the knock sensor bolt (3). Tighten the bolt to 20 Nm (15 ft lbs).

-- Connect the wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the knock sensor (2).

-- Install the knock sensor cover (4).

-- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
