B1B91 - Driver Seat Track Position Sensor Configuration Mismatch: Notes
For wiring diagram information, refer to appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
Theory of Operation
When powered, the occupant restraint controller sends a test current to the seat track position sensors. During this test, the sensors discovered are checked for agreement with the pre - programmed configuration of components assigned to the module.
- >>When Monitored:<< The ORC checks for the presence of seat position sensor circuits once during the initialization process.
- >>Set Condition:<< This DTC sets when the ORC detects the presence of a seat position sensor circuit while the configuration of the module does not reflect a seat track position sensor should be present. Once set, this DTC is latched for the entire power cycle and requires the module to be re - initialized to set code.
Possible Causes
---
UNUSED SEAT POSITION SENSOR CIRCUITS SHORT to VOLTAGE, SHORT to GROUND, or SHORT TOGETHER
OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER
