Transmission Shift Lever: Removing

-- Remove the instrument cluster trim bezel. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Remove the shift knob. Refer to Removing .

-- Remove the ignition switch from the instrument panel.

-- Disconnect the electrical connectors (3 and 4) from the wireless ignition node (1) and the shift lever (2).

-- Remove the screws (1) securing the WIN (2).

-- Remove the WIN (2) in order to gain access to the lower shift lever bolts.

NOTE: Ensure that the lock tab at the shift lever housing (2) is depressed before pulling the cable from the shift lever housing.

-- Remove the shift cable (1 and 2) at the shift lever.

-- Remove the lower shift lever bolts (2).

-- Remove the upper shift lever bolts (1).
