Front A/C Receiver Drier: Removing

-- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

-- Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Refer to REFRIGERANT SYSTEM, RECOVERY .

-- Remove the air cleaner housing and inlet duct from the engine compartment. Refer to AIR CLEANER HOUSING for CGVA engines, AIR CLEANER HOUSING for CGUA engines & Air Cleaner Housing for CJRA engines .

-- Remove the front and the rear sections of the A/C liquid line (1 and 2) from the A/C receiver/drier (4). Refer to A/C REFRIGERANT LIQUID LINE, FRONT .

-- Remove the bolt (3) that secures the A/C receiver/drier to the right front frame rail and remove the receiver/drier from the engine compartment.
