The shift control is out of correct gear relationship	Selector lever cable and bracket Selector lever cable retention to steering column bracket Selector lever linkage	Go to Pinpoint Test B .
The selector lever indicator does not correspond to the gear	Selector lever cable bracket	TIGHTEN the bolts holding the selector lever cable bracket.
	Selector lever indicator linkage	ADJUST PRNDL indicator at steering housing.
	Selector lever cable loose from the transmission retainer bracket	VERIFY the selector lever cable is seated in the transmission retainer bracket.
	Selector lever cable adjustment incorrect	VERIFY the selector lever cable adjustment. REFER to GENERAL PROCEDURES . ADJUST the transmission selector lever cable if necessary.
The transmission range (TR) indicator lamp does not illuminate	Bulb Circuitry	REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND PANEL ILLUMINATION article.
The transmission control (TC) switch/indicator lamp is not operating correctly	Fuse TC switch not cycled during self-test PCM Circuit(s)	Go to Pinpoint Test C .
