Removal And Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Disconnect the catalyst monitor sensor electrical connector.
  3. NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the catalyst monitor sensor with penetrating and lock lubricant to assist in removal.
  4. Using the special tool, remove the catalyst monitor sensor.
    • Apply a light coat of high temperature nickel anti-seize lubricant to the catalyst monitor sensor threads prior to installation.
    • To install, tighten to 46 Nm (34 lb-ft).

  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
