Test Step 4 - (Z902) O2 SENSOR 2/2 HEATER GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
Fig 1: Measuring Resistance Between Ground And (Z903) O2 1/2 Heater Ground Circuit In O2 Sensor Harness Connector
- Turn the ignition off.
- Measure the resistance between an engine ground and the (Z902) O2 Sensor 2/2 Heater ground circuit in the O2 Sensor 2/2 harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Verify that there is good pin to terminal contact in the O2 Sensor 2/2 and Powertrain Control Module connectors. If OK, replace the O2 Sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Perform the Powertrain Verification Test. Refer to PCM Verification Test (2009 - 2011) & PCM Verification Test (2012 & Up) .
No
- Repair the open in the (Z902) O2 Sensor 2/2 Heater ground circuit.
- Perform the Powertrain Verification Test. Refer to PCM Verification Test (2009 - 2011) & PCM Verification Test (2012 & Up) .
