Test Step 4 - Check the Ground Circuit for an Open
NOTE:
The test lamp must illuminate brightly. Compare the brightness to that of a direct connection to the battery.
- Reconnect the power liftgate module C1 harness connector.
- Using a 12 volt test lamp connected to 12 volts, check the ground circuit.
Does the test tight illuminate brightly?
Yes
- Replace the power liftgate drive unit. Refer to POWER LIFTGATE DRIVE UNIT .
- Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Repair the ground circuit for an open. If the ground circuit is OK, replace the power liftgate module. Refer to POWER LIFTGATE CONTROL MODULE .
- Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
