Transmission Oil Cooler: Installing
-- Replace the transmission oil cooler O-rings -C-.
-- Mount the transmission oil cooler -B-, while doing this, pay attention to the O-rings -C-.
-- Tighten the new bolts -A- to 20 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.
-- Install the coolant hoses to the transmission oil cooler and remove the Hose Clamps Up To 25 mm dia.3094.
-- For vehicles with a diesel engine, install the battery tray and the battery [For engine(s) CVCA, CDVB, CPRA, CBTA, CPKA, CKRA, CBUA] Removal and Installation .
-- Install the air filter housing, refer to one of the following:
With a gas engine, refer to [For engine(s) CPRA, CPKA] Removal and Installation or [For engine(s) CDVB] Removal and Installation .
With a diesel engine, refer to [For engine(s) CKRA] Removal and Installation or [For engine(s) CVCA] Removal and Installation .
-- Check the coolant level and add if necessary, refer to one of the following:
With a gas engine, refer to[For engine(s) CPRA, CPKA] General Information or [For engine(s) CDVB] General Information .
With a diesel engine, refer to [For engine(s) CKRA] General Information or [For engine(s) CVCA] General Information .
-- After repairing, check the transmission oil level and fill as necessary, refer to DSG® OIL LEVEL, CHECKING .
Do not start the engine during the coolant level test if the transmission oil has not been filled yet.
