Selector Lever Handle: Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order, pay attention to the following:

The selector lever is in the "D" position.

NOTE:

There is the possibility that the button can be pressed into the handle. Never install the handle when the button is pressed in.

Move the button into the installed position, refer to HANDLE BUTTON, MOVING INTO THE INSTALLED POSITION .

A new handle is delivered with an assembly aid. Pull out the assembly aid in the direction of -arrow- just before installing the new handle.

with a Handle with a Sleeve

-- Install the handle all the way onto the selector lever and lock it.

-- Push the sleeve down to lock it.

with a Handle with a Camp

-- Install the handle with a new clamp.

-- Tighten the clamp using the Hose Clamp Pliers VAG1275.

-- Press the button after installing it.

NOTE:

If the button stays in the handle after being pressed, this means it was installed incorrectly. If this happens, remove the handle again and move the button into the installed position, refer to HANDLE BUTTON, MOVING INTO THE INSTALLED POSITION . Then reinstall the handle again.
