Selector Lever Cable, Adjusting: Adjusting
-- Move the selector lever into the "P" position.
Shift the gear shift lever into the "P" position.
The gear shift lever must be pushed all the way back.
-- Pull the gear shift lever forward.
-- Push the gear shift lever to the rear -arrow-.
"P" is in the second detent.
Make sure the transmission is in the "P" position (parking lock is engaged) if raising the vehicle. It must not be possible to turn the front wheels.
The transmission is also in the "P" position if the vehicle does not move with wheels spinning freely.
-- Install the cable with a loose adjustment bolt -arrow- and the new lock washers -A and B-, if they were removed earlier.
-- Lightly tap the handle button forward and backward and make sure to keep handle in the "P" position.
This places the cable core in its optimal position.
-- Tighten the adjustment bolt -arrow- to 13 Nm.
This ends the adjustment.
