Electrical Component Location Overview

-- Touch a grounded object before working on electrical components. Do not touch connectors or open electronic components directly.

The electric/electronic components are located inside the transmission.

Only the selector lever sensor system control module and the shift lock solenoid are located on the selector lever.

1. DSG® Transmission Mechatronic -J743-
   • Installed behind the transmission cover.
   • Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:

     with the transmission installed, refer to DSG® TRANSMISSION MECHATRONIC J743, TRANSMISSION INSTALLED .

     with the transmission removed, refer to DSG® TRANSMISSION MECHATRONIC J743, TRANSMISSION REMOVED .

2. Transmission Input Speed Sensor -G182- and Clutch Oil Temperature Sensor -G509-
   • Removing and installing, refer to TRANSMISSION INPUT SPEED SENSOR G182 AND CLUTCH OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR G509 .
   • The Mechatronic unit must be removed first, before the sensors can be removed.
