Overview - Gearshift Mechanism

NOTE:

Disconnect the ground cable from the battery when working on the gearshift mechanism inside the engine compartment, refer to Battery with Visual Indicator, Standard .

Connect battery and follow the procedures to be performed after connecting a battery, refer to Battery with Visual Indicator, Standard .

Remove the complete air filter housing when working on the gearshift mechanism in the engine compartment, refer to [For engine(s) CKRA] Air Filter Housing Overview or [For engine(s) CVCA] Air Filter Housing, Removing and Installing .

The shift mechanism must be removed in order to replace the operating cables, refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Do not bend the operating cables.
