Windshield Wiper System: Installing

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan Limited, 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan, 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan, 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan, and 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Insert the wiper frame with linkage and wiper motor into the plenum chamber.

-- Insert the guide pin -2- of the wiper frame during installation into the rubber grommet -1- in the bulkhead.

-- Screw in the mounting bolts -arrows- and tighten to the tightening specification given in the overview, refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM OVERVIEW .

-- Connect the connector -1- to the wiper motor and lock it.

-- Install the plenum chamber cover, refer to REMOVING .

-- Connect the battery, refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Install the windshield wiper arms, refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER ARMS .
