Communication Systems

The communications systems in the Tiguan basically include the radio or the radio navigation system, telephone system, antenna system, speaker systems, RSE multi-media system, CD changer, iPOD mount, USB MP3 player connection and sound system amplifier.

Some equipment can be obtained only as options, also not all systems are installed in every vehicle.

Familiarity with the function and operation of the communication systems is essential when addressing customer complaints.

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in "Guided Fault Finding" when servicing or fault finding and refer to appropriate System Wiring Diagram Information.

Troubleshooting

Most of the communications systems are equipped with On Board Diagnostic (OBD).

To fault find, use "Guided Fault Finding" in the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
