Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module (J764), Coding

The "access/start authorization system" must be coded after replacing the electronic steering column lock control module (J764).

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Vehicle Diagnostic Tester

Procedure

- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

- Select "Guided Fault Finding" mode.

- Use the GO TO button to select the "function/component selection" and the following menu options one after the other:

• Body

• Electrical Equipment

• 01 - OBD-capable system

• Electronic steering column lock
