- 5 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.
- Always replace.
- For attaching the Mechatronic unit to the transmission housing.
- Always follow the loosening and tightening sequence, refer to one of the following:
DSG® TRANSMISSION MECHATRONIC J743, TRANSMISSION INSTALLED .
- DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743-
- Allocate using the transmission code letters.
- Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:
with the transmission installed, refer to DSG® TRANSMISSION MECHATRONIC J743, TRANSMISSION INSTALLED .
with the transmission removed, refer to DSG® TRANSMISSION MECHATRONIC J743, TRANSMISSION REMOVED .

- 16 Nm
- Always replace.
- Quantity: 5
- For attaching the transmission front cover to the transmission housing.
- Clutch End Cover for the Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG®)
- Removing, refer to CLUTCH ENGINE COVER, REMOVING .
- Installing, refer to CLUTCH END COVER, INSTALLING .
- Dual Clutch
- Removing and installing, refer to DSG® CLUTCH, REMOVING .
- Vent Tube
- Pressed into the transmission housing.
- Always replace after removing.
- Cover
- Placed on the vent tube.
- Nut
- 20 Nm
- Always replace.
- Gear Shift Lever
- Insert so that the master spline aligns with the shift rod.
- Seal
- For the selector shaft.
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL .
- Bolt
- 20 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.
- Always replace.
- Transmission Oil Cooler
- Removing and installing, refer to TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER .
- O-rings
- Always replace.
- Cable Bracket
- For the selector lever cable.
- Bolt
- 20 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.
- Always replace.
- Quantity: 2
- Oil Filter Housing
- 20 Nm
- O-ring
- Always replace.
- Oil Filter Element
- For information on changing the filter, refer to GENERAL REPAIR INFORMATION => When To Change the Transmission Oil Filter .
- Removing and installing, refer to TRANSMISSION OIL FILTER .
- Transmission Input Speed Sensor -G182- and Clutch Oil Temperature Sensor -G509-
- Both sensors are a single component and can only be replaced together.
- Removing and installing, refer to TRANSMISSION INPUT SPEED SENSOR G182 AND CLUTCH OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR G509 .

- Alignment Pin
- Quantity: 2
- For centering the transmission oil pump to the transmission housing.

- Transmission Oil Pump
- Removing and installing, refer to TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP .
- Transmission Oil Pump Cover
- With a vulcanized rubber seal.
- Always replace.
- Bolt
- 8 Nm
- Always replace.
- Bolt
- There are different bolts for the transmission oil pump, refer to TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP .
- Always replace.
- Quantity: 4
- Overflow Tube
- 3 Nm
- Made of plastic.
- To drain the oil, remove the oil drain and check plug (-item 31-) and remove the overflow tube.
- The length of the overflow tube determines the oil level inside the transmission.
- Allocate
- Seal
- Always replace.
- Oil Drain and Check Plug
- 45 Nm
- There is an overflow tube (-item 29-) with a 8 mm inner hex behind this plug.
- To drain the oil, remove the drain and check plug and remove the overflow tube.
