Engine Control Module, With Protective Housing: Installing

-- Install the ECM -1- into the guides -3- until it locks.

-- If the ECM was replaced, then attach the bracket -4- to the ECM with shear bolts -6-.

-- Tighten the shear bolts -6- just enough until the bolt head breaks off.

-- Connect the connectors -1 and 3- to the ECM.

-- Install the plate -5- with shear bolts -2-.

-- Tighten the shear bolts -2- just enough until the bolt head breaks off.

-- Install the E-box cover -arrows-.

-- Install the battery. Refer to Battery, Starter, Generator, Cruise Control .
