Passenger Safety System Components, Replacing After A Collision

After an accident with airbag deployment, the following components must be replaced: 

• All triggered airbag units
• Support and bracket for the front passenger airbag unit with a deployed front passenger airbag.
• Return ring with slip ring, if driver side airbag deployed.
• All seat belts with triggered belt tensioners
• If needed (visual inspection), the following must also be replaced: all faulty components.

Accident without Airbag Deployment 

• If the airbag malfunction indicator lamp -K75- does not indicate a malfunction, the airbag components do not need to be replaced. Check seat belts separately.
