Transmission Fluid, Checking

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to Description and Operation .

-- Remove the oil fill plug -arrow- in order to check the transmission fluid level.

The level is correct when the transmission fluid comes up to the bottom edge of hole.

-- Install the plug -arrow- with a new seal.

-- Tighten the plug -arrow- to specification, refer to Fig 2.

Note the following when filling for the first time:

-- Remove the oil fill plug -arrow-.

-- Add transmission fluid until it reaches the lower edge of the hole.

-- Install the plug -arrow- with a new seal.

-- Tighten the plug -arrow- to specification, refer to Fig 2.

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to Description and Operation .

I - Plug with a multi-point socket head, 45 Nm

II - Plug with hex socket head, 30 Nm
