Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125-: Removing

-- Move the selector lever into "N".

-- Turn off the ignition.

-- Remove the engine cover by gently pull the engine cover up, and the air filter. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING .

-- Remove the battery and the battery tray, if necessary. Refer to [For engine(s) CVCA,CPRA,CBTA,CPKA,CPLA,CJAA,CBUA,CPPA,CCTA,CBFA] Removal and Installation .

-- Disconnect the cable by squeezing in the -direction of arrows 1- and then remove it from the cable mounting bracket in the -direction of arrow 2-.

NOTE:

Do not use pliers because the tabs on the cable bracket could break off.

Do not bend or kink the selector lever cable.

-- Pry the cable -1- off the lever/selector -3-, for example, using a wrench -2-.

-- Disconnect the connector from the Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125-.

-- Remove the nut -1-.

-- Remove the spring washer -2- and the lever/selector -3- from the selector shaft -4-.

-- Bend back the hooks on the lock washer -2- using a screwdriver.

-- Replace the lock washer is a hook breaks off.

-- Remove the nut -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -5-.

-- Remove the multifunction switch -4- and the washers -2- and -3- from the selector shaft -6-.
