- Tighten and loosen the bolts or nuts for the covers and housings in a diagonal sequence.
- The tightening specification stated applies to non-lubricated nuts and bolts.
- Use a wire brush to clean the threads of bolts that were installed using liquid locking fluid. Install the bolts using liquid locking fluid AMV 185 100 A1.
- Clean all threaded holes with a thread tap to remove any locking fluid residue. Otherwise the bolts could shear the next time they are removed.
- Always replace self-locking nuts and bolts.
