Knock Sensor: Installing

CAUTION: Tighten the knock sensor to the correct specification. Over or under tightening effects the knock sensor performance, possibly causing improper spark control and damage to the sensor.

-- Install the knock sensor and bolt. Tighten the bolt to 20 Nm (15 ft lbs).

-- Connect the wiring harness electrical connector to the knock sensor pigtail harness connector.

-- Route the knock sensor wire in the proper location.

-- Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD .

-- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY .
