SERVICE INFORMATION

All Models with Gateway Incorporated into Instrument Cluster - Recoding Procedure

After replacement or software update of an instrument cluster that contains the CAN-BUS gateway, it may be necessary to recode the gateway to eliminate erroneous DTCs. Enter address 19-Gateway and perform a recode of the system using GFF. It may code to the same number originally shown in the module, but perform the coding as prompted and then recheck the DTC memory. Symptoms due to the Gateway coding not completed may range from no fuel gauge operation to fault codes for systems the vehicle is not equipped with, such as convertible top.
