Vas 5051, Connecting And Selecting Functions

- Vehicle Diagnostic, Test and Information System VAS 5051
- During a test drive, the testing and measuring equipment must always be secured on the back seat.
- These devices may be operated only by a passenger during a test drive.
Connect VAS 5051 -1- as follows:
-- Connect diagnostic cable -2- connector to Data Link Connector (DLC).
-- Switch on VAS 5051B -arrow-.
The VAS 5051 is ready for operation when the operating modes are displayed.
-- Switch on ignition.
-- Touch Guided Fault Finding on screen.
-- Select one after another:
- Brand
- Model
- Model year
- Version
- Engine code
-- Confirm data entered.
Wait until the VAS 5051 has checked all available control modules in vehicle.
-- Press > .
-- Press the Go to button and select the "Function/component selection" function.
-- Select "suspension" on the display.
-- Select "brake system" on the display.
-- Select "01-On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable system..." indicated on display.
-- Select on display "Anti-lock brake system...".
-- Select "function" indicated on display.
Now, all possible functions of the anti-lock brake system installed in the vehicle will be displayed.
-- Select desired function on display.
