Windshield Wiper System

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Torque Wrench V.A.G 1331
- Pry Lever 80-200
CAUTION:
When disconnecting and connecting the Battery, the procedure must be followed as described in the Repair Information. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
Removal
-- Deactivate the APP function. Refer to WIPER MOTOR CONTROL MODULE -J400-, DEACTIVATING APP FUNCTION .
-- Let the wiper return to its park position and then turn off the ignition.
-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
-- Remove the wiper arms. Refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER ARMS .
-- Remove the Plenum Chamber Cover. Refer to Removal and Installation
-- Remove the bolt -1- and the nut -2- from the air duct trim -3-.
-- Remove the air duct trim -3- from the vehicle.
