Striker Pin, Adjusting: Notes

NOTE:

The following describes adjusting the right front door. Adjusting the left front door is identical.

When closing, door must lock completely without further applied force and must have no play.

By adjusting the striker pin, door must not be pushed upward or downward.

The alignment of the front door to the side panel can be adjusted using the striker pin (wind noises).

-- Loosen the bolts -2- on the B-pillar and loosen the striker pin -1-.

-- Adjust the door with the striker pin -1- so that the front door lines up with the side panel when it is closed (wind noises) -arrows a- and -arrows b-.

NOTE: More force may be needed to move the striker pin -1- when the bolts -2- are loose.

-- Tighten the bolts -2- on the striker pin -1-.
