Engine And Engine Compartment Components, Checking For Leaks And Damage

-- Remove the engine cover, if necessary. Refer to UPPER ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Perform visual check as follows:
-- Check engine and components in engine compartment for leaks and damage.
-- Check the lines, hoses and connections on the following systems:
- Fuel system
- Heating and ventilation system
- Lubrication system
- A/C system
- Air intake system
- Brake system
for leaks, abrasions, porosity and brittleness.
NOTE:
Make sure the all malfunctions detected are rectified within repair measures.
Determine the cause of fluid loss, which cannot be attributed to normal use and repair.
