Transmission To Engine Tightening Specifications

For the following: 

• GTI (from 2010) with a 2.0 L TFSI engine
• Passat
• CC

1. M12 Bolts - 80 Nm 
   • If insert tool 18 mm -T10179- is used: 65 Nm.
2. M10 Bolts - 40 Nm 
3. Arrows - Alignment Sleeves 

-- Replace all the bolts for the transmission mount.

-- First, install all new bolts by hand.

-- Then tighten the transmission mount bracket -A- to transmission bolts -1- to 40 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.

-- When tightening the bolts -2-, the bracket can be pried into position using a screwdriver. Tightening specification for the bolts -2-: 60 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.

Starter to transmission. Refer to Specifications .

The subframe bolts must be replaced.

Subframe to body. Refer to Specifications .
