Prior to repair work, perform a preliminary check to verify the condition. Refer to PRELIMINARY CHECK .
Use only gold-plated terminals when servicing any component with gold-plated electrical harness connector terminals.
For wiring diagrams, component locations, and connector views, Refer to the applicable wiring diagram.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- multimeter.
- Wiring diagram.
Test requirements
- The ignition switched off.
Start diagnosis
The Reduction Agent Heated Supply Line refers to the wire heated supply hose that connects from the tank pump to the Reduction Agent injector. This component is available separately from the Reduction Agent Tank Module assembly.
-- Remove the Reduction Agent Tank Module assembly. The module is located above the rear muffler mounted below the spare tire well. Refer to the Repair information for removal instructions.
-- Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the Reduction Agent Heated Supply Line (2 wire connector near the end of the hose connection at the pump end).
Checking resistance
-- Measure the resistance of the Reducing Agent Wire Heater -Z104- terminals.
Specified value: 2.4 Ohms (+/- 1 Ohm)
If the specified value was Not obtained replace the Reducing Agent Wire Heater -Z104-.
If the specified value was obtained:
Replace the Reduction Agent Tank Module assembly.
