Tire Pressure Monitor System Reset
NOTE:
The proper reference pressures for all approved tire sizes are stored in the Tire Pressure Control Module. The use of a non-approved tire sizes will cause the need for the TPM system to be reprogrammed by the manufacturer. See appropriate manufacturer service information.
If wheels or tire pressure sensors are changed, wheel electronics send data as soon as speed of wheels exceed 15 mph. ID numbers are automatclly recognized and read by control module. TPM Control Module must first be in learning mode before it can automatically learn sensor IDs. Vehicle must remain stationary for 20 minutes for learning mode to occur. If standing time is not allowed after new sensors are mounted, a fault is set.
