Without Anti-Theft Immobilizer

-- Before removing the Engine Control Module (ECM), check its identification and coding first. Refer to the vehicle diagnostic tester.

Removing

-- Turn the ignition off.

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Remove the plenum chamber cover.

-- Release the ECM connector and disconnect it.

-- Press the clips to the side and remove the old ECM.

Installing

-- Insert the new ECM.

-- Connect the ECM connector and lock it.

-- Verify the old coding and code the new ECM. Refer to the vehicle diagnostic tester.
