Removing

-- Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT .

-- Remove the ribbed belt tensioner -item 27- in RIBBED BELT DRIVE OVERVIEW .

-- Remove the left coolant pipe. Refer to COOLANT PIPES .

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING OVERVIEW .

-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows- and remove the charge air pressure hose.

-- Remove the left and right engine mount bracket to mount nuts -arrow-.

-- Remove left front wheel housing liner. Refer to Description and Operation .

-- Remove the coolant line clamps nuts and bolts -arrows-.

NOTE:

With the nuts and bolts removed, the coolant lines can be repositioned slightly to install the adapter 10-222 A/19 on the longitudinal members.

-- Install the engine support bridge 10-222 A on the bolted fender flanges along with the movable joint T40091/3 and two spindles.

The spindles are positioned forward.

-- Install both spindles in both rear engine lifting eyes.

-- Install the additional parts of the engine support bridge 10-222 A as shown in the illustration. Position adapter 10-222 A/19 on the notches in the longitudinal members.

-- Slide the rail with holes T40091/2 with the mount T40093/5 into both movable joints T40093/4.

WARNING:

Secure the rail with holes T40091/2 with pins to the movable joints T40093/4.

-- Install the engine support T10014 in the mounting hole for the ribbed belt tensioner.

-- Remove the engine sling 2024 A eyes.

-- Insert the bolt -1- in the center bore of the 2024 A again and secure with a cotter pin.

-- Engage the pins on the engine sling 2024 A in the front spindle on the engine support bridge 10-222 A.

-- Install the bracket2024 A/1 on the left side of the engine sling 2024 A.

-- Engage the engine sling 2024 A in the right front engine lifting eye and on the engine support T10014.

WARNING:

Lifting hooks and alignment pins on the engine sling 2024 A must be secured with pins -arrows-.

-- Raise the engine until the engine mount brackets are above the threaded engine mount studs and tension all spindles evenly to achieve even weight distribution.

-- Remove the left and right bolts -arrows- and remove the engine mount from the engine carrier.

Installing

For the engine mount tightening specifications, refer to ENGINE MOUNT AND BRACKET OVERVIEW .

-- Install the refrigerant lines.

-- Install the left coolant pipe. Refer to COOLANT PIPES .

-- Install the wheel housing liner. Refer to Description and Operation .

-- Install the ribbed belt tensioner -item 27- in: RIBBED BELT DRIVE OVERVIEW .

-- Install the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT .

-- Install the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING OVERVIEW .

-- Install the charge air pressure hose.
