Test Step 2 - Liftgate Handle Switch Short

• Disconnect the power liftgate latch harness connector.
• Erase DTCs.
• Turn the ignition OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition ON.
• With the scan tool, check for DTCs.

Does the scan tool display B18E0 - Power Liftgate Handle Switch Stuck?

Yes

• Go to Test Step 3 Test Step 3 - Liftgate Handle Switch Sense Circuit Short to Ground 

No

• Check the handle switch linkage for the cause of the sticking condition. If the linkage is OK, replace the power liftgate latch assembly. Refer to LIFTGATE LATCH .
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
