REN Radio Programming Update For Various Functionality Concerns

The radio will not change stations or frequency intermittently. The only function that will be available is volume control.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

Software concern.

PRODUCTION SOLUTION

Software 9.227 released MY 2011.

SERVICE

VERIFY REN SOFTWARE

Insert key and switch the ignition to the ON position without starting.
Insert programming CD RENFLSW9.227.
Verify the software is below 9.227.
Tip: If software is found to be at 9.227 or higher, this technical bulletin DOES NOT apply, further diagnosis is required.
Touch the YES button on the screen to begin the software update.

NOTE: DO NOT cycle the ignition during the update process.
Once the update has completed, verify the software is at 9.227
Remove the flash disc and store in a secure spot.
NOTE: If the software update process is interrupted/aborted, the process should be restarted.
Using StarMobile clear any DTC's that may have been set in other modules during software update.
