Spark Plug Wire: Removing
WARNING:
Always turn the engine off and disconnect the battery prior to servicing the spark plug wires. Do not attempt to remove a spark plug wire while the motor is running. Failure to follow these directions may result in serious or fatal injury.
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
Remove the spark plug wire from the ignition coil.
Always remove the spark plug wires by grasping the top of the spark plug insulator, turning the boot 1/2 turn and pulling straight up in a steady motion.
