B116F - Rear Bi-Level Switch Request Input Circuit/Performance: Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2014 Volkswagen Routan, 2013 Volkswagen Routan, 2012 Volkswagen Routan, 2011 Volkswagen Routan, and 2010 Volkswagen Routan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS information.

Theory of Operation

The switch input changes when the switch is pushed down. A stored DTC indicates that the rear bi-level switch was stuck in a pushed position for more than 10 minutes, but has since returned to its normal state. An active DTC indicates that the rear bi-level mode switch is stuck in a pushed position.

Possible Causes
OBJECT HOLDING REAR BI-LEVEL SWITCH IN A PUSHED POSITION
SUBSTANCE CAUSING REAR BI-LEVEL SWITCH TO GET STUCK IN A PUSHED POSITION
