Windshield Assembly Overview

  1. Windshield
  2. Window adjuster
    • 443, 845, 631 A
  3. PUR adhesive sealant
    • Bead adhesive: Width a = 7 mm, height b = 11 mm (including pre-coating, residual material on window glass and window flange)
    • Minimum curing time MINIMUM CURING TIME 
  4. Body flange
  5. Retainer
    • is a part of the windshield
    • A new windshield must be installed if the binding profile is damaged
  6. Plenum chamber cover
    • Must only be pulled out of binding profile by hand.
    • Plenum Chamber Cover, Removing and Installing PLENUM CHAMBER COVER
  7. Drip rail
    • Removing and Installing, refer to DRIP RAIL
  8. Gap dimension
    • From window edge to roof edge
    • Set a constant dimension of 3.5 mm using the adjustment gauge 3371
  9. Sealing lip
    • is a part of the windshield
    • If sealing lip is damaged when cut out, a new windshield must be installed.
