2009> Routan - Key Programming

All FOB integrated keys included with the vehicle are pre-programmed to work with the vehicle theft security system when they are shipped from the factory. The Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) can be programmed to recognize up to a total of eight sentry keys.

When programming a blank key, the vehicle PIN code will be required to complete this task since you will need it to enter the secured access mode WIN. This can be obtained from Dealer Connect by the Service Manager or a user with similar access and select 'door code' (the one with al numbers) from the menu.

The following steps must be completed using a scan tool:

Insert the original key into the WIN (ignition switch) and turn it to the RUN position.
Using a scan tool, select "Theft Alarm", "WCM/WIN", "Miscellaneous" and then "Program New Key".
Enter the PIN code using the scan tool.

When programming is completed, the WIN will exit secured access mode and the scan tool will display the results of your attempt to program the key.
