Ignition Component Overview





1 Knock Sensor (KS) 2 (G66) Connector

• Gray

• Contacts are gold plated.

• Installed location, refer to.

2 Knock Sensor (KS) 1 (G61) Connector

• Green

• Contacts are gold plated.

• Installed location, refer to.

3 Knock Sensor (KS) 2 (G66)

• Pay attention to the installed position: the wire points outward 45° to the right.

4 Knock Sensor (KS) 1 (G61)

• Pay attention to the installed position: the wire points downward.

5 Bolt

• 20 Nm

• Tightening specification affects the function of the KS.

6 Ignition Coil with Power Output Stage (N70, N127, N291, N292, N323)

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Ignition Coils with Power Output Stages ] Service and Repair.

7 Spark Plug

• 25 Nm

• If the spark plug is replaced, grease the ignition coil with power output stage. Refer to => [ Installing ] Service and Repair.

• Type and electrode gap, refer to => [ Technical Data ] Spark Plug Technical Data.

• Remove and install with spark plug wrench (3122B ).

8 Bolt

• 10 Nm

9 Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor (G40)

• Contacts are gold plated.

10 O-ring

• Replace if damaged.
