Service Position, Implementing

NOTE:

Minor changes to service position must be kept in mind, depending on engine version.

-- Remove front bumper cover. Refer to FRONT BUMPER COVER .

-- On vehicles with a 6-cylinder fuel injection engine and HID headlamps, remove the headlamps. Refer to [For transmission(s) 02E, 02Q] [For engine(s) BPY, CCTA, BUB, CBFA] Removal and Installation .

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION 

-- In vehicles with charge air cooler, disconnect pressure hoses. Refer to PRESSURE HOSES, DISCONNECTING .

-- Release, disconnecting. Refer to RELEASE COUPLING

-- Remove the bolts -3- and remove the air guide channel from the lock carrier.

-- Remove bolts -4- from left and right longitudinal members.

-- Install guide rod -T 10093- on left and right longitudinal members.

-- Remove bolts -2- at left and right on top of lock carrier -1-.

-- Lock carrier -1- can be pulled toward front approximately. 10 cm on guide rod -T 10093-.
