Electrical And Electronic Components And Locations: Notes

1. Transmission Control Module -J217-
   • The control module sends and receives data from the Data bus.
   • Installed location for the Jetta MY 05 through 10, Jetta SportWagen (US)/Jetta Wagon (Canada) MY 09, Jetta SportWagen (US)/Golf Wagon (Canada) from MY 10. Refer to Transmission Control Module, Jetta MY 05 through 10, Jetta SportWagen (US)/Jetta Wagon (Canada) MY 09, Jetta SportWagen (US)/Golf Wagon (Canada) from MY 10  .
   • Installed location for the Jetta, from MY 11, with a 2.0 L engine. Refer to Transmission Control Module, Jetta from MY 11, with a 2.0 L Engine  .
   • Installed location for the Jetta, from MY 11, with a 2.5 L engine. Refer to Transmission Control Module, Jetta from MY 11, with a 2.5 L Engine  .
   • Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the VAS 5051.
2. Engine Control Module
   • The control module sends and receives data from the Data bus.
   • Installed location and removing and installing, refer to (with Anti-Theft Protection) ENGINE CONTROL MODULE. WITH ANTI-THEFT PROTECTION , or (without Anti-Theft Protection) ENGINE CONTROL MODULE, WITHOUT ANTI-THEFT PROTECTION .
3. Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125-
   • Installed location, refer to Multifunction Transmission Range Switch  .
   • Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the VAS 5051.
   • Removing, installing and adjusting, refer to Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125- .
4. Valve Body
   • Installed location, refer to Valve Body  .
   • The components can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the VAS 5051.
5. 8 Pin Wiring Harness
   • For the sensor.
   • With the transmission fluid temperature sensor.
   • Installed location, refer to 8 Pin Wiring Harness  .
   • Removing and installing, refer to WIRING HARNESS WITH 8 PIN CONNECTOR .
6. Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93-
   • Installed location, refer to 8 Pin Wiring Harness 
   • Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the VAS 5051.
7. 14 Pin Wiring Harness
   • For the solenoid valve.
   • Installed location, refer to 14 Pin Wiring Harness  .
   • Removing and installing, refer to WIRING HARNESS WITH 14 PIN CONNECTOR .
8. Automatic Transmission Hydraulic Pressure Sensor 1 -G193-
   • Not installed in all transmissions.
   • Installed location, refer to Automatic Transmission Hydraulic Pressure Sensor 1 and Sensor 2  .
9. Automatic Transmission Hydraulic Pressure Sensor 2 -G194-
   • Not installed in all transmissions.
   • Installed location, refer to Automatic Transmission Hydraulic Pressure Sensor 1 and Sensor 2  .
10. Transmission Input Speed Sensor -G182-
    • Installed location, refer to Transmission Input and Output Speed Sensors  .
    • Removing and installing, refer to TRANSMISSION INPUT SPEED SENSOR .
    • Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the VAS 5051.
11. Transmission Output Speed Sensor -G195-
    • Installed location, refer to Transmission Input and Output Speed Sensors  .
    • Removing and installing, refer to Transmission Output Speed Sensor -G195- .
    • Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the VAS 5051.
12. Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
    • Installed location: The shift lock solenoid is located in the selector mechanism.
    • Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the VAS 5051.
13. Tiptronic Switch -F189-
    • Installed location, refer to Tiptronic Switch  .
    • Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the VAS 5051.
14. Terminal 50 Power Supply Relay -J682-
    • Inside the engine compartment E-box.
    • Refer to appropriate information in the System Wiring Diagram WIRING .
15. Diagnostic Connection
    • Installed location, refer to Diagnostic Connection  .
16. Transmission Range Display -Y6-
    • Installed location, refer to Transmission Range Display  .
    • Removing and installing, refer to Removal and Installation .
