Ignition Lock Cable: Service and Repair

Ignition Key Removal Lock Cable, Disengaging and Engaging

Applies Only to Vehicles with Automatic Transmissions

Adjust locking cable.

Disengaging

- Remove steering wheel.

- Remove steering column switch trim.

- Place selector lever in position "P" if necessary.

- Turn ignition key - A - into position "ignition on".





- Press clip - 1 - upward or downward according to installation position and simultaneously pull out locking cable - 2 -.

Engaging

- Place selector lever in position "P".

- Turn ignition key - A - into position "ignition on".





- Slide locking cable - 2 - in steering lock housing until clip - 1 - engages.
