Oil pump, disassembling and assembling: Notes

1 - Drive shaft

For oil pump drive

2 - Oil pump housing

3 - 23 Nm

4 - Gears

Checking backlash Checking oil pump backlash
Checking axial clearance Checking oil pump axial clearance

5 - Oil pump cover with pressure relief valve

Clean strainer if soiled
Opening pressure: 5.3...5.7 bar

6 - 8 Nm

Insert with locking compound D 000 600 A2

7 - Oil pressure pipe

Coat cylinder block and oil pump housing with sealing compound AMV 188 001 02

8 - 8 Nm

9 - Seal

Replace if damaged
