Towing Recognition Control Module -J345-

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removal

-- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

-- Remove left luggage compartment trim. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Release the connectors -arrows- and disconnect them from the towing recognition control module.

NOTE:

For removal, bracket -1- must not be removed.

The number of connectors on the towing recognition control module can deviate from the illustration depending on the vehicle equipment.

-- Remove the mounting bolts -2- (2 Nm) and remove towing recognition control module from vehicle.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-- Tighten all threaded connections to the specification. Refer to TOWING RECOGNITION CONTROL MODULE, TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

NOTE:

After installing a new towing recognition control module, it must be coded. Refer to TOWING RECOGNITION CONTROL MODULE, CODING .
