Automatic Transmission Fluid Level, Checking And Adding: Adding

-- Install the Adapter for Filling ATF Oil VAS6262/2 into the plug hole hand tight.

-- Connect the Adapter For Oil Filling VAS6262A to the Adapter For Filling ATF Oil VAS6262/2.

-- Shake the container before opening.

-- Attach the oil container to the Adapter For Oil Filling VAS6262A. Be sure to read the instructions. Refer to Figure.

-- Fill with 1 liter of ATF.

If the ATF Leaks Out of the Plug Hole:

The ATF does not need to be topped off.

-- Allow the ATF to drain until it drips.

-- Install and tighten the plug (with a new seal) to 27 Nm. The ATF level check is now completed.

If No ATF Leaks Out of the Plug Hole:

-- Add another liter of fluid. Refer to Adding .

WARNING:

Too little or too much ATF will impair the transmission.
