The planetary gear set and final drive have a common Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) filling.

Original filling by the manufacturer Refer to PASSAT
Filling after draining in service Refer to PASSAT
Change
  • No change
  • Permanent fill, only change after repairs such as when removing the transmission fluid pan
  • Refer to PASSAT
Lubricant Refer to PASSAT

Transmission fluid is obtainable as a replacement part.

NOTE:

Only ATF available as a replacement part may be used. Other fluids can cause malfunctions or transmission failure.
