Anti-Theft Coding, Retrieving Code

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

NOTE:

The Vehicle Diagnostic Tester must be connected "online" (network connection) to determine the anti-theft code. The user must have the proper authorization to access the anti-theft code.

-- Determine the anti-theft code using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in Guided Functions  , Retrieve Radio Code 

Authorization will be requested from the system: Then the operating data, the VIN and the Radio -R- serial number will be automatically read out.

NOTE:

When installing a new radio or one that has not been adapted to the vehicle yet, the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester may not be able to read the radio device number. In this case enter the serial number manually. The serial number can be found on a sticker on the unit and is also stamped into the side of the unit.

The Vehicle Diagnostic Tester will display the radio code.
