Headlamp Control Module

• Left High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module (J343) and Right High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module (J344) is not capable of On Board Diagnostic (OBD).

• Illustrations depict replacement of High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module at right headlamp.

• The procedure for replacing the Left HID headlamp control module and the Right HID headlamp control module is the same.

- Check headlamp for function.

- Check headlamp adjustment and adjust headlamp if necessary.

Removal

• Observe the safety notes. Refer to => [ HID Headlamps, Usage and Safety Precautions ] Service Precautions.

- Remove headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamp Housing ] Headlamp Housing.

- Remove mounting bolts - 3 - and remove HID lamp control module - 2 - from headlamp connector position - 1 -.






Installation

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• Make sure seals have proper seating when installing High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module. It is destroyed by entry of water into headlamp.
