General notes
Central control for all communications systems is the "Front Information Display Control Head Control Module". It is installed in the front center console. All information is gathered here and most functions are controlled from here.
The control head is divided into various sections.
"Climate control" is at the top. These buttons have fixed functions for controlling the heating and air conditioning system.
"Function buttons with display" are beneath. The display presents various menus and information. The functions of the buttons are menu-dependent and are shown on the display in the side columns.
"Main menu button line" with centered rotary/push button is next. Main menus are selected with these buttons. Menu entries are called up by turning the rotary/push button and selected by pressing the rotary/push button.
"Audio line" is at the bottom. Here, between radio, CD player or TV function can be switched.
- By the use of magnetically adhered antennae on vehicle roof, there is the hazard that the navigation system will malfunction due to magnetic influence and remaining magnetization of the vehicle roof. For complaints of inaccurate or faulty navigation system, ask the customer whether a magnetically adhered antenna is being used before starting repair work.
